An incredibly well designed course for those interested in understanding wine, Phil is very knowledgeable (and entertaining) and runs through the key elements of wine providing an excellent overview for the beginner. Can’t wait to step up to the Shiraz Challenge!

I was disappointed in the palate trainer course. It’s a shame ‘palate training’ can’t be taught with or at least incorporating some nice wines.
It is a very cold venue in the middle of winter and probably a good idea to warn clients about this prior. While Phil is clearly very knowledgeable about the topic and had one or two interesting anecdotes, I found his rambling style frustrating to listen to.
My friends and I attended this course as a precursor to the complete wine course but because of our disappointment we will look elsewhere for a wine course to attend.

Great night, Phil was excellent, funny and very knowledgeable.
The one-night Palate trainer was more a course on the basics of what makes up the constituents of wine, which was was far better than what I was expecting as is provided some great technical knowledge - would highly recommend anyone to go. Even seasoned wine drinkers.
